A little success!

A little success!

I am now completing week 4 of the program and have been really disappointed in my pain not improving much. However, I have had a little success with yelling at my pain when I am in a really uncomfortable position and just saying "its MBS" over and over again. It has made the pain go away for awhile and I've done it enough to know its not a coincidence! One time the pain came back with a roar telling me it still wants control! I thought this was fascinating.

That's terrific.  May I ask what kind of pain?  I was rear ended, told everyone my age has bulging disc, radial tears, fast forward to a surgery I didn't need but CHRONIC PAIN label closes the door.  Opiates for four years.  I finally requested a safe drawdown; two weeks off; now the brain doesn't care.  How do I yell at this?

I wish you the best.

Of course you may ask what kind of pain! Severe sciatica on the left side only but pretty horrible. I think what works for everyone is totally different. I meditate with Dr. Schubiners meditations and then talk out loud to the pain while I am walking. It takes tremendous courage to do this! The brain has to listen eventually but it does take time.
